Don’t worry. That numb, warm and sometimes weird feeling in your belly is not the beginning stages of an ulcer. It’s actually the fact that the St. John’s Red Storm are going to be kicking off their season shortly. Even better than that, though, is that we are only single solitary day away from getting a glimpse of the Johnnies on our collective picture-boxes.
This Friday night (as in tomorrow) will be the event know as the Red Storm Tip-Off. Which is like saying Christmas in October for die-hard St. John’s fans.
There is even more good news. Since the new Big East Conference (the new boss, same as the old boss) made a network deal with Fox Sports, we are going to be able to see a slew of the action on Fox Sports 1. Here is the exact info that you need to know so you can properly adjust your normal Friday night shenanigans:
Friday, Oct. 25
9 p.m Eastern Standard Time – BIG EAST Tip-Off Party preview show, FOX Sports 1
Well, that was pretty simple, right?
This will be the debut of the Big East on Fox Sports. Granted, it won’t be as awesome as when games are actually being played, but beggars can’t be choosers or something — likely something, but whatevs.
Are you humorously, ridiculously and/or excited to the point of nausea for the start of the season? You should be. Friday night will be just the very first step (if you can even call it that) as St. John’s looks to make it back to the NCAA Tournament and regain their rightful place among Big East powers.
