St. John’s Gets Rapper French Montana to perform at 2014 Red Storm Tip-Off

Let’s pretend I know very little about the current state of hip-hoppery before going forward, okay? Good. Because I haven’t the slightest idea of who French Montana is or what style of rap he does, but I am now currently aware that he is going to perform at the 2014 St. John’s Red Storm Tip-Off. One can only assume that is because magical unicorns were already booked.

Okay, I kid about all of that.

(Also, H/T the good folks at RITG)

What exactly is the connection between St. John’s and French Montana? Well, while he wasn’t born there Mr. Montana considers himself a Bronx native and currently does some work for P. Diddy (previously known as Puff Daddy, Puffy, Sean Combs, the guy who attempted to ruin Biggie songs by making weird noises in the background).

According to Rumble in the Garden:

"Admission to the event is free, but space is limited. Free tickets will be made available on the day of the event, first to St. John’s students beginning at 9 AM, and later to the general public at 3:30 PM."

Man, was Mase all booked up?
