Isaiah Briscoe Names St. John’s as One of Three Finalists

Isaiah Briscoe has finally cut his top three recruiting list down. After careful consideration, and giving the boot to programs like Arizona, Rutgers and Seton Hall, the free world now knows which three teams are in the running for the services of one of the best players in the entire 2015 recruiting class.

According to Isaiah Briscoe himself — via Twitter, naturally — the three remaining schools are Kentucky, UConn and your St. John’s Red Storm.

The word on the mean streets of the recruiting trail have Briscoe making a decision before the Spring and as early as November. However, with the season yet to get underway and certain dominoes still needing to fall Briscoe may wait until after Santa Claus drops off toys before he makes a decision as big as this.

As for St. John’s landing a recruit as ballyhooed as Briscoe would certainly be a feather in the hat of Steve Lavin. It would also go a long way in helping to replace the plethora of talent the Johnnies will lose to graduation at the end of the season.

Briscoe hasn’t really shown which way he is leaning at the moment, but some truly believe the Red Storm are the front runners. Others, on the other hand, believe that John Calipari always gets what he wants. Me? Well, I think you can never underestimate the power of the mustache that lays below the nose, but above the lip, of Kevin Ollie.
