St. John’s Target Brandon Sampson Visits LSU

Who is 6’4″, 175 pounds, is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is a four star recruit? Brandon Sampson, duh. With that introduction to one of the better recruits in the 2015 class out of the way we can now focus on some news regarding the talented prospect.

According to Zach Brazziller of the New York Post, Brandon Sampson was visiting the LSU Tigers basketball program over the weekend.

Why is this news? Well, because the St. John’s Red Storm have the top 30 prospect in their recruiting trail targets. With the news recently dropping that tippy-top-recruit (patent pending) Isaiah Briscoe having the Johnnies in his tippy-top-three (patent also pending), this could possibly help in the recruitment with players that are considered as talented as Sampson.

Oddly enough, adding someone like Briscoe and Sampson in the same year would go a long way in helping replace the slew of Red Storm players that will be leaving the program due to graduation. It would also add incredible depth to the backcourt if Rysheed Jordan doesn’t miraculously have the greatest jump in development ever and stays at the college level.

Nevertheless, we will keep you posted on all things St. John’s recruitment related. All the way from Briscoe to Brandon Sampson to some dude in Yonkers who can’t hit a four foot jumper.
