The St. John’s Red Storm hosted one of the top recruits in the 2016 class on Saturday and have reportedly offered him a scholarship. According to a few media members (but we usually source Zach Braziller because of his GOAT status and his promise of retweeting random DIII commit updates), Temple Gibbs was officially offered a full ride from the program during his campus visit on Saturday.

Temple Gibbs is the 69th ranked prospect in the 2016 class according to Rivals.

A 6’3″ point guard from West Orange, New Jersey, Gibbs has also been offered scholarships by programs such as Georgia Tech,
Miami (FL), Oklahoma, Temple and Virginia.

Although a mixtape can make Leisure Suite Larry look like a five-star prospect it does look like Temple Gibbs will have a lot of offer whichever program he decides to attend. The good news for him, as well as the Johnnies, is the fact that Gibbs has his entire senior year and then some ahead of him before he has to make a decision.

Red Storm head coach Steve Lavin has been known to get the recruits he wants, especially 6’3″-ish combo guards, so we will keep an eye on the recruitment of the talented 2016 prospect.
