First, I was very torn about where I should put this post about former Connecticut Huskies coach Jim Calhoun. I understand UConn is no longer a part of the Big East, but my heart was telling me that it should not matter and it should go in the Around The Big East section. Alas, my partially working brain decided to put this news under the NCAA Shenanigans department.

ESPN has announced that coaching legend — and secret penguin lover — Jim Calhoun will be joining the worldwide leader in sports to help cover the realm of college basketball for the upcoming season.
"“I love the game of basketball and am excited for this chance to share my passion with ESPN viewers,” Calhoun said in a statement. “Being an NCAA coach has not only provided me with a unique perspective on the game, but also the opportunity to meet some interesting and inspiring people, and I look forward to having the chance to share their stories.”"
I actually like Calhoun a lot. However, he has left the world with one of the greatest mysteries it has ever faced. One that even rivals the argument over aliens existence, life after death and which member of WHAM was better — how in the world did Jim Calhoun convince kids to go to Storrs to play basketball?
Seriously, Storrs.
