The St. John’s Red Storm are off to an undefeated start. That is because they played the New Jersey Institute of Technology in their opener and have yet to play another game. Still, that doesn’t change the fact that no one has beaten the Johnnies yet. Next up for the Red Storm is the NIT Season Tip-Off and a battle against — um — national power Franklin Pierce. I guess you want to know how to watch St. John’s battle Franklin Pierce, right?
How to Watch St. John’s vs Franklin Pierce
NIT Season Tip-Off
Monday, November 17
7:30 pm Eastern Standard Time
Live Stream: ESPN3
What’s at Stake?
Not much. Theoretically the Red Storm should plow through Franklin Pierce. However, there are areas that the St. John’s faithful should keep an eye on.
Like What?
The backcourt combinations that Steve Lavin uses. While the game against NJIT resulted in a large Red Storm victory it didn’t come without some rotation issues. That had to do with D’Angelo Harrison and Jamal Branch getting into some foul trouble, however. It will be interesting to see, if no foul trouble arises, what a preferred Lavin rotation looks like.
Also, keep an eye on the continued development of Chris Obekpa on the offensive side of the ball. He may end up being the key to St. John’s success if he can end up being the consistent second or third scoring option for the team.
Prediction
There will be blood. Lots of Franklin Pierce blood.
