PF. Junior. 5. player. 478. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Marcellus Earlington

Out of the players that remained on the St. John’s roster after the coaching change, Marcellus Earlington easily had the biggest jump in production.

The Don Bosco Prep (N.J.) product posted 9.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.0 steal per game last season and showed the ability to expand his game to the perimeter.

Earlington is not a player that will give you 20 points and 11 rebounds per game, but in his minutes he is always effective and could be a solid 13 points and eight rebounds per game type player.

St. John’s seems like it will be a permitter oriented team in 2020-21 and that could benefit Earlington if he plays as the lone big on the floor at times or if he’s given a mismatch on the outside and shows his ability to put the ball on the deck and get to the floor.

It certainly will be tough to replicate the production of LJ Figueroa but St. John’s will have the players and the depth to make up for such a big loss to its program.
