Four-star prospect Alex Tchifou committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide over the St. John’s basketball program and others on Sunday afternoon.
The expectation became a reality on Sunday afternoon as four-star prospect Alex Tchifou committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide over St. John’s and others.
Tchifou announced earlier in the week that he would reclassify from the Class of 2021 into the Class of 2020 and named a Top-9 of Oregon, Alabama, St. Mary’s, Mississippi State, Arizona, Southern California, Florida State, Illinois, and St. John’s.
Listed as a 6-foot-11 forward, Tchikou stars at Dream City Christian and included the Red Storm in his final list of schools days before his teammate, Arthur Kaluma dropped the Johnnies from his group of finalists.
Alex Tchifou is ranked as the No. 58 prospect in the Class of 2020 as well as being the No. 11 power forward and No. 4 player in the state of Arizona, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
Tchikou made the announcement via a statement on his Twitter page.
