Class of 2021 recruit Jordan Riley is reportedly close to committing and if the St. John’s basketball team is not in his Top-5, the Red Storm are in deep trouble.

One of the biggest recruiting targets of the St. John’s Red Storm is nearing a decision and if the Johnnies are not in Jordan Riley’s Top-5, it’s officially time to press the panic button.

Riley has been long a top target for St. John’s since the school hired Mike Anderson over a year ago and there was also some connection with the program and the prospect under former head coach Chris Mullin.

Long Island Sports Fanatic on Twitter recently broke the news that Riley has dwindled his long list of suitors down to five and will commit at the end of the month.

The account has been on the forefront of Jordan Riley’s recruitment every step of the way and it left fans wondering which schools are in the four-star recruit’s Top-5.

Riley most recently picked up offers from Kansas and Florida State but also holds offers from Connecticut, DePaul, Georgetown, Georgia, Iona, Kansas State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.

The Brentwood High School star stands at 6-foot-4 and has shown an elite level of athleticism during his junior season.

Jordan Riley is also a standout for the New York Lighting on the Nike EYBL Circuit and St. John’s was one of the first programs to offer Riley back on January 14, only beaten out by Rutgers and Stony Brook as programs to offer the then junior earlier.

Being passed over by a handful of nationally ranked recruits certainly hurts St. John’s, but if Riley were not even to include the program in his Top-5 would be a major blow to the recruiting efforts of Mike Anderson and his coaching staff.
