Former St. John’s golf standout Keegan Bradley could not solve the final holes during the CJ Cup at Shadow Creek.

There are some holes in golf that just always get the best of you and that’s what it felt like for Keegan Bradley this week at the CJ Cup at Shadow Creek.

Despite putting together four quality rounds, Bradley struggled mightily on the final five holes all week long as the Red Storm Hall of Fame inductee was five-over par from No. 14 to No. 18 throughout the weekend.

Thursday afternoon Bradley was five-over, which plummeted his promising his round, he was three-under on the holes on Friday despite playing them as his front nine, one-under on Saturday, and another porous four-over on Sunday.

However, despite the struggle on the closing holes, Bradley finished the tournament at three-under par and T-42.

As Shadow Creek Golf Course has a Par-72, Keegan Bradley shot 75, 70, 68, and 72 over the course of the weekend to collect $33K for his placing.

Bradley tied with Byeong Hun An and Cameron Champ at three-under par as the former Johnnie dropped four spots in the very early Fed-Ex Cup Standings from No. 32 to No. 36 after the event.

Jason Kokrak won the event at 20-under par by two strokes over Xander Schauffele.

Keegan Bradley will not participate at the Zozo Championship this week at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California so the next PGA Tour event that the 34-year old could participate in is the Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda beginning on October 29.

The field has not been announced for the Bermuda Championship but if Bradley does not wish to leave the country, the next United States-based event is the Vivint Houston from Open Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas on November 5, the final event before the 2020 Masters.
