The St. John’s basketball program offered brothers in the state of Florida.

Recruiting never stops for the St. John’s basketball program as Mike Anderson and his staff have shifted its focus to the state of Florida, specifically in Fort Lauderdale.

The Red Storm offered Class of 2022 brothers Amen and Ausar Thompson, both coveted players in their respective class.

Standouts at the Pine Crest School, Amen Thompson is listed as a 6-foot-6, 190 pound combo guard and Ausar Thompson also stands at 6-foot-6, 190 pounds but focuses more as a shooting guard.

Both players hold offers from South Florida, Alabama, Florida Atlantic, Iowa State, Howard, Oklahoma State, Stetson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Arizona, Kansas, and Dayton.

Amen Thompson is ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 73 player in the Class of 2022, No. 11 combo guard, and No. 13 player in the state of Florida.

Ausar Thompson is ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 79 player in the Class of 2022, No. 8 shooting guard, and No. 14 player in the state of Florida.

This is the second time St. John’s has offered a set of twins in the state of Florida and Mike Anderson and his staff also extended offered to Class of 2023 prospect Ryan and Matt Bewley of Northeast High School, also in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

While St. John’s is still working on putting the finishing touches in its Class of 2021 recruiting class, the Johnnies are eyeing a massive haul in the Class of 2022, hopefully led by Kyle Cuffe Jr., a legacy player for the Red Storm and ranked as the No. 109 player in the class.

There is no timetable for a commitment from either Ausar or Amen Thompson as both players are in position to see their recruitment continue to soar and trend in an upwards direction.
