St. John’s basketball Key to Victory No. 1 – Be Physical

St. John’s has played tough basketball this season, but the Johnnies have to extra tough against BYU.

Win loose balls, dive on the floor, commit hard fouls, all things that Anderson already instills in his team but now it has to show.

St. John’s should have experience playing these types of games as BYU plays a similar style like Butler and Xavier, where the Cougars will punch you in the mouth and keep coming for a full 40 minutes.

The Red Storm did not play a complete game against Boston College, a slow start and a putrid ending but it was a stellar 30 minutes in between.

St. John’s will need a full 40-minute, physical effort against BYU if they want to come away with a victory.
