St. John’s basketball Key to Victory No. 3 – Run

In the ’40 Minutes of Hell’ defense that Mike Anderson runs, it creates a lot of turnovers and fast-break opportunities.

St. John’s is going to need a lot of transition buckets to beat the BYU big men down the floor and subsequently set up its own press, which has been effective this season.

Posh Alexander is arguably the quickest player anytime he steps on the floor and he, along with Greg Williams Jr., will be leading the charge downcourt for the Johnnies on Wednesday.

Off makes, misses, and turnovers, St. John’s needs to be sprinting down the floor trying to get an easy look at the rim, and convert the shot.
