St. John’s basketball Takeaway No. 2 – Posh Alexander is the real deal

It did not take long for Posh Alexander to introduce himself as the point guard of the future in Queens.

In most cases, Alexander is the fastest, quickest, most explosive guard on the court and he’s proven that he can finish at the basket at an extremely high rate, as well as shooting the ball well from 3-point range.

Despite an off game against BYU where the Cougars didn’t give the freshman guard any room to breathe, Alexander is still averaging 11.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.8 steals per game.

The Our Savor Lutheran (N.Y.) star is shooting 48.5 percent from the floor and 40.0 percent from 3-point range.

Taking care of the basketball is an area of Alexander’s game where there is room for improvement, averaging 3.5 turnovers per game, but the St. John’s standout has a bright future, not only in Queens but in the Big East Conference.
