St. John’s basketball Key to Victory No. 2: Bring your own energy

Admittedly so, St. John’s did not have enough energy to compete with Rider until late in the second half.

Mike Anderson and Vince Cole admitted that the team’s energy levels needed to be better and that could be attributed to a trap-game with the Broncs ahead of the tilt with Seton Hall.

Anderson has explained numerous times this season that his team’s energy level has been a concern, but entering Big East play, the Johnnies know that they need to play better and expect them to do so on Friday afternoon.

In the two games not played at Carnesecca Arena this year for St. John’s, the Red Storm’s energy levels were adequate, just shot selection was the difference in the win over Boston College and the loss to BYU.
