Prediction: St. John’s basketball vs. Seton Hall

In a series that has been dominated by St. John’s, the last ten matchups have been run by Seton Hall, winning eight.

The Pirates will enter riding high after its comeback against Penn State and blowout over Wagner, while St. John’s will be more focused on the task at hand given their lackadaisical effort against Rider.

Sandro Mamukelashvili is averaging a team-best 18.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per game while Jared Rhoden is the only other Pirate to reach double-figures this season with 15.7 points per game.

Ike Obiagu, a 7-foot-2 center, is coming off his best effort as a Pirate with 20 points, three rebounds, and eight blocks against Wagner with 12 of those points coming from the free throw line.

St. John’s will have to be at its best on the defensive end but the combination of Posh Alexander, Julian Champagnie, and Greg Williams Jr. will be too much for the Pirates to overcome as St. John’s will pull off a shocker in Newark, New Jersey.

The Red Storm will continuously turn Seton Hall over en route to its sixth victory of the season.

PREDICTION: St. John’s 74, Seton Hall 69
