The remaining games on the St. John’s basketball schedule have finally been released.
The Big East Conference officially revealed the remainder of the St. John’s basketball schedule on Monday afternoon.
St. John’s has finally learned what lies ahead in the rest of their conference slate, beyond a date with No. 8 Creighton on Thursday and rematch against the Georgetown Hoyas next Sunday.
The Red Storm (5-3, 0-2 Big East) have already gotten off to a winless conference start for the fourth time in five years after losses to Seton Hall and Georgetown.
After its matchup with the Blue Jays on Thursday and Georgetown on Sunday, the St. John’s will have a break for the holidays and get back to action on the road against the Villanova Wildcats on December 30.
The Red Storm will begin the new calendar year with a game in Queens against DePaul, before hitting the road to face Xavier and Creighton.

January looks to be where the bulk of the Red Storm will play their conference games as February and March have only six scheduled games combined, with four coming in February.
The Johnnies will play at home against Villanova on February 3, Xavier on February 16, with a trip to Providence scheduled on February 6, and as a date with Marquette on February 20 could close the month.
In March, Mike Anderson’s team will have home contests against Providence and Seton Hall to round out the schedule.
More St. John’s basketball games to come that are not on the schedule
However, circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic is the reason for the lighter schedule, especially in February as the Big East has built in “bye weeks” to allow flexibility in the schedule in order to make up games in the event of a postponement during those weeks.

St. John’s already had Big East games against UConn and Butler postponed because of concerns surrounding the virus, games that will hopefully be played between February 6-16 and February 21-March 2.
St. John’s will look to get their season back on track against No. 8 Creighton (4-1, 0-0) on Thursday at 5:00pm EST (Fox Sports 1) at Carnesecca Arena.
