No. 1 St. John’s basketball moment of 2020 – Blowout victory over No. 10 Creighton

Let’s take it back to March 1st in what was probably one of the most memorable St. John’s games in recent years.

St. John’s entered the game 3-12 in Big East play and on a three-game losing streak looking to regain some momentum before the Big East Tournament.

Enter Greg Williams Jr.

The 6-foot-3 guard from Lafayette, Louisiana put on an electric performance with 21 points on a 7-of-11 shooting day with all of his scoring coming from beyond the arc against No. 10 Creighton.

Williams Jr.’s sharpshooting would power the Red Storm to go on a second-half blitz against the Blue Jays, turning a close game into a dominating St. John’s victory.

As a whole, this was no doubt St. John’s best game of the season and one of the most electric atmospheres inside Carnesecca Arena.
