St. John’s basketball gets another schedule adjustment
St. John’s basketball saw another adjustment to its Big East schedule.
Head coach Mike Anderson and the St. John’s basketball program have seen its Big East schedule adjusted once again, but that is no issues for the Johnnies (11-7, 5-6 Big East) .
In midst of a chaotic COVID-19 season, the Red Storm have developed the slogan, “any time, any where” in relation to the ever changing schedule.
St. John’s saw its last scheduled matchup with the UConn Huskies (8-3, 5-3 Big East) postponed because of contact tracing and the conference shipped the Red Storm out to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to battle the Marquette Golden Eagles (9-9, 5-7 Big East).
The Johnnies emerged with a 75-73 victory, their fourth victory in a row and the fifth win in six games.

The two teams were scheduled to play again on February 20 but with that date now open, the Big East scheduled the makeup date between St. John’s and DePaul (3-7, 1-7 Big East) in Carnesecca Arena.
After an 81-68 victory in Chicago, St. John’s and DePaul were slated to play for the first time this season on January 2 in Queens but the game was postponed minutes before tip-off because of a false positive COVID-19 test within the Red Storm program.
Now almost two months later, the teams will meet for the second time this season.
There has been no tip-off time scheduled for St. John’s and DePaul.
Another St. John’s basketball schedule change
One more update was made to the St. John’s basketball schedule in the latest announcement from the Big East Conference and the meeting between the Red Storm and the Butler Bulldogs (5-10, 4-8 Big East), originally slated for February 10, will now be played on February 9.
Also, the time of the game was slated for 4:00pm EST on February 10 but tipoff is now scheduled for 9:00pm EST (Fox Sports 1).

St. John’s defeated Butler, 69-57, in the first meeting between the programs this season on January 12 in Queens.
The only Big East Conference game that has yet to see a makeup date announced is the UConn Huskies trip to New York after the Red Storm defeated Danny Hurley’s program in Storrs on January 18.
However, with all the schedule changes, the Johnnies will still be looking for its signature victory on the season against No. 3 Villanova (11-1, 6-0 Big East) on Wednesday night inside Carnesecca Arena (9:00pm EST, CBS Sports Network).
