The full St. John’s basketball schedule has been released as the Johnnies look to make it to the NCAA Tournament.

The college basketball season is around the corner and the St. John’s basketball program now has its full schedule available.

After announcing its non-conference slate of games last month, the Big East Conference released its full slate of games on Thursday morning and the Johnnies have some major dates to circle on its calendar.

The Red Storm will begin its conference season against the Seton Hall Pirates, for the third time in the last four seasons, on December 20.

Seton Hall, which has hosted all three games, has also won the last two times the local rivals opened the Big East season against each other.

St. John’s will then play three of its next four games at home against Butler, Marquette, and DePaul with a road game on January 1 against Georgetown thrown in between.

However, then will come potentially the toughest stretch of the season for Mike Anderson‘s team as the Johnnies will hit the road to face the Providence Friars and Connecticut Huskies before getting another date with the Georgetown Hoyas at Madison Square Garden.

Georgetown, UConn, Villanova, and Seton Hall are the only four teams to play St. John’s at Madison Square Garden this regular season.

The Red Storm will then to back on the road to face Creighton on January 19 before returning to The Garden to face Seton Hall prior to another road date with the Villanova Wildcats on January 29.

St. John’s will play inside Carnesecca Arena on February 1 for the first time since January 5 as Providence comes to town before the Johnnies go back to Hinkle Fieldhouse on February 5, a recent house of horrors for the Red Storm.

St. John’s will then play back-to-back games at Madison Square Garden against Villanova and UConn on February 8 and February 13, respectively.

The Johnnies will close the regular season with three of its next five games on the road, beginning with a trip to Xavier on February 16 as Creighton returns to Queens on February 23.

A road trip to DePaul is followed by a home game against Xavier as the Red Storm wrap up the regular season in Milwaukee against the Marquette Golden Eagles on March 5.

The Big East Tournament is set for Madison Square Garden from March 9 through March 12.
