St. John’s basketball takeaways against No. 8 Kansas

There is no margin for error

There is no point to discuss the schedule any further. It is what it is.

But St. John’s has no margin for error coming down the stretch of non-conference play.

It squandered two opportunities to pick up resume building victories on the road against Indiana and No. 8 Kansas and now it must take care of business before Big East play begins.

The Johnnies will host Fordham, Monmouth, Colgate, and Pittsburgh before heading to No. 25 Seton Hall to begin conference play.

St. John’s has two things to worry about over the next two weeks; win the remaining games in its non-league schedule and cheer for every Big East team to win its remaining non-conference games in order to bolster the conference’s resume.

Mike Anderson’s team will need to find some quality wins in Big East play if the Red Storm want to go to the NCAA Tournament.
