The St. John’s basketball team returns to Madison Square Garden for the first time this season. 

Basketball is set to be played at Madison Square Garden between the St. John’s basketball program and the Pittsburgh Panthers (3-7) on Saturday afternoon.

Pittsburgh has been struggling mightily this season with losses against The Citadel, UMBC, and Monmouth but the Panthers have been very competitive is defeats against Minnesota and Virginia.

St. John’s cannot afford to lose this game and the Johnnies no longer have the excuse of looking passed Pittsburgh and preparing for Seton Hall after its meeting on Monday with the Pirates has been canceled and deemed a forfeit in favor of the Johnnies.
