The St. John’s basketball and Seton Hall rivalry shifts to New Jersey with a lot at steak.

Saturday afternoon in Manhattan was a disappointing for the St. John’s basketball team as it is going to get.

The Johnnies (10-7, 2-4 Big East), coming off of a blowout loss, were catching Seton Hall (12-5, 3-4 Big East) at home without its star guard Bryce Aiken and could not capitalize on the opportunity, falling 66-60.

St. John’s now has to travel to South Orange for the first Big East game inside Walsh Gym since 1985 due to a rescheduling conflict after the original game was postponed due to COVID-19.

Seton Hall students will be the only fans allowed in the gym on Monday night, creating what should be an amazing environment and major challenge for the Red Storm.

St. John’s Injury Report vs. Seton Hall

St. John’s will still be without Rafael Pinzon as he recovers from health and safety protocols.

The rest of the roster appears to be healthy and ready to play on Saturday against Seton Hall.

However, it remains unclear if the Pirates will have starting guard Bryce Aiken due to a concussion. Aiken did not play on Saturday afternoon.

St. John’s vs. Seton Hall Odds: Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick

WynnBET’s College Basketball Odds lists St. John’s as a 7.5-point underdog on the road against rival Seton Hall on Monday night while the total is listed at 152.5.

It was an ugly showing from the Red Storm on Saturday afternoon against the Pirates and it is difficult to envision ways in which St. John’s can win on the road on Monday.

Regardless if Bryce Aiken plays, head coach Mike Anderson has to make a plethora of adjustments to try and get his stars open for shots in what will be a raucous atmosphere.

We will take Seton Hall to win, and cover the spread, while the total will go over the number listed.
