The road trip for the St. John’s basketball team wraps up against No. 14 Villanova.

Games do not get much better than this for the St. John’s basketball team.

The Johnnies (11-7, 3-4 Big East) will wrap up its two game road trip with a meeting against No. 14 Villanova (15-5, 8-2 Big East) with a serious chance to put together its NCAA Tournament resume.

St. John’s is coming off of its best effort of the season in a dominating road win against Seton Hall, one day after losing at Madison Square Garden to the Pirates.

Villanova is fresh off a romping of DePaul, which only was able to score 43 points in the outing, but has suffered a conference loss at home to Marquette last week.

The Wildcats opened the season in the Top-5 of the Associated Press Top-25 Poll but suffered its share of set backs this season, notably back-to-back road losses against No. 2 Baylor and Creighton.

St. John’s Injury Report vs. Villanova

It is likely that St. John’s will still be without Rafael Pinzon.

The rest of the roster appears to be healthy and ready to play on Saturday against Villanova.

St. John’s vs. Villanova Odds: Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick

WynnBET’s College Basketball Odds lists St. John’s as a whopping 13.5-point underdog on the road against Villanova on Saturday afternoon while the total is listed at 139.5.

St. John’s had its best showing of the season on Monday night against Seton Hall and it is clear that the oddsmakers do not believe that is a Red Storm team that can present itself once again against Villanova.

The Wildcats are the class of the Big East but St. John’s seems to matchup well with ‘Nova as Jay Wright’s team does not have much depth or size this season.

We will take Villanova to win outright but St. John’s to cover the spread on Saturday while the total will go over the number listed.
