St. John’s basketball keys to victory against Villanova:

Rebound

Villanova has five players that will crash the glass on the floor at all times.

It sometimes creates problems against St. John’s, who has players running back down the floor on offense before the rebound is secured.

The Wildcats seemingly always cash in on second chance opportunities and 3-pointers on such chances will be back-breaking in a game like this.

St. John’s has to be committed to the glass on Thursday night or it has no chance at winning.

Eric Dixon has been playing much better in conference play and Collin Gillespie pulled down ten rebounds the last time these two teams played each other.

Joel Soriano, Aaron Wheeler, and Esahia Nyiwe has to stay out of foul trouble and dominate on the backboards for St. John’s to hang around with Villanova.
