Posh Alexander Looks Like a Superstar

Posh Alexander has always been great for St. John’s in his career but questions always circled around his shooting abilities.

Well, Alexander might have put those doubts to rest with his showing in the Dominican Republic.

The former Big East Freshman of the Year shot 29.9-percent from 3-point range as a freshman and just 21.1-percent as a sophomore but Alexander looked like a veteran sharpshooter this weekend.

The Brooklyn, New York native made 9-of-17 shots (52.9-percent) from 3-point range over the course of the three games and started out hot making 5-of-7 attempts against the U22 National Team.

Alexander posted 21 points in that outing while chipping in 13 points in each of the next two games, making 1-of-4 triples against the GUG All-Stars and 3-of-6 against the Senior National Team.

Posh Alexander has always felt like the most important player for St. John’s in each of his first two seasons; when he plays well, they play well. And that typically translated to victories for the Red Storm.

The Johnnies will lean on its junior point guard to lead the team into the 2022-23 season in hopes to play in his first ever NCAA Tournament game.
