It’s August and there’s still major transfer portal recruiting battles taking place – even though some of the players aren’t fully eligible yet.
Auburn’s Keyshawn Hall is one of the most talented players that is hoping to be cleared and granted a fifth year of eligibility and a handful of programs reached out to him already to try and add to its roster, but it appears two schools have emerged as leaders.
Late Thursday night Hall posted two pictures to X that show him playing against Kentucky and St. John’s this past season, both of which are recruiting him. It’s the first time Hall has publicly commented on his recruitment or future plans since the 5-for-5 lawsuits and court rulings have come to the forefront.
Indiana, Kansas, Gonzaga, SMU, LSU, Providence, UCF, Houston, and USC also reportedly reached out to the Cleveland native.

The Red Storm have made a strong push for the 6-foot-7 forward after its standout forward, Dillon Mitchell, signed a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics on Wednesday as it was rumored he could return to college basketball given the new rules.
Now, the Johnnies are looking to fortify its frontcourt after the late June injury to Syracuse transfer Donnie Freeman which has sidelines him for the season following an Achillies rupture.
Hall, who played for his fourth school in four years with the Tigers, posted 19.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game last season while shooting 45.1-percent from the floor and 37.9-percent from 3-point range.
In the games of the pictures Hall posted, he went for 10 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists in a win over Kentucky and 20 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in a victory against St. John’s.
As of now, Keyshawn Hall is eligible to return to college basketball but the NCAA is trying to fight the ruling and cap its own idea until the start of this academic year.
