One of the most anticipated events during the non-conference calendar for the St. John’s basketball team will be its second trip to the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas but some Red Storm fans in New York might not see the Johnnies take the floor.

The schedule was finalized earlier this week, and St. John’s is slated to tipoff no earlier than 10:30p.m. ET for its opening round game against Oregon. To make matters worse, it’s more likely than not that the Red Storm will tipoff much later than anticipated since they will be the fourth game of the day at Michelob Ultra Arena.

Tennessee vs. Maryland, San Diego State vs. Iowa State, and Texas Tech vs. Louisville will all he ahead of the Johnnies and Ducks on Tuesday, November 24 beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET with only 30 minutes built between the standard 2-hour windows.

Should St. John’s beat Oregon, they would return to the court on Thursday, November 26 – Thanksgiving Dav – at approximately 4:00 p.m. ET but a loss to the Ducks would mean an 11:30 p.m. ET start.

The opponent will either be Texas Tech or Louisville as each team in the event has an off day on Wednesday.

If the Johnnies win its first two games, it will advance to the semifinals on Friday, which is the last game of the night, starting no earlier than 11:30 p.m. ET. with a chance to play in the championship game on Saturday night at 10:30 p.m. ET.

As long as the Red Storm do not go 2-0, its final game in Las Vegas would be on Friday at either 3:00 p.m. ET, 5:30 p.m. ET, or 8:30 p.m. ET – depending upon how they split their opening two games.

Last season, the Johnnies posted a 1-2 record at the Players Era Festival with an opening round narrow loss to Iowa State while was followed by a convincing win over Baylor and concerning defeat to Auburn.
