The golf world will descend upon Bethpage Black Golf Course in September for the 45th Ryder Cup and Team USA captain, Keegan Bradley, is ensuring that a lot of familiar faces are on the course cheering on the Americans.

Bradley announced on Tuesday morning that he is donating 100 tickets to St. John’s athletics so its male and female golfers, past and present, can attend the historic event.

“This is a wildly limited opportunity,” he said in his social media post. “Johnnies, you know how much I love my alma mater, Bethpage, and all the people of New York.”

The Red Storm Hall of Famer was named as the United States Ryder Cup captain on July 8 as the iconic event returns to a venue he is very familiar with dating back to his time at St. John’s.

During his introductory press conference as the captain of Team USA, Bradley had his entire St. John’s golf team in attendance as well as his head coach Frank Darby.

Keegan Bradley continued showing his St. John’s fandom throughout the historic men’s basketball season which culminated in a Big East regular season and tournament championship as well as a victory in the NCAA Tournament.

The 38-year-old made the trip to Providence, Rhode Island to watch the Johnnies in the Round of 32 during the NCAA Tournament against Arkansas.

Bradley, who can still make the team on points and compete as a playing captain, is coming off of a T-8 showing at the PGA Championship this week. He is currently No. 17 in points to make the team as the top six players automatically qualify, but could be selected as a player via a captain’s selection.

However, he previously said that he would only play on the team if he qualified via points.

Keegan Bradley has finished inside the Top-30 in each of his last three tournaments.
