Reebok is returning as a major brand in basketball and it’s leaning on several up-and-coming players to continue to elevate its popularity, landing the newest St. John’s basketball signee to its team.
The company announced on Tuesday morning that it has inked Tounde Yessoufou to its brand shortly after he withdrew from the NBA Draft and committed to the Red Storm.
"Reebok continues to make big moves in basketball,” Yessoufou said in a statement.
“I’m honored to join the team and partner with a brand that shares a similar mindset. We’re doing things differently and making an impact on young players.”

The former Baylor freshman standout was projected to be a late first round pick had he remained in the 2026 NBA Draft but opted to play at least one more season in college and try and become a lottery pick in 2027 with a year of guidance from Rick Pitino.
Tennessee’s Nate Ament, Arkansas’ Darius Acuff Jr., and Chicago Bulls forward Matas Buzelis have all recently signed with Reebok. WNBA players Angel Reese and Lauren Betts are also Reebok athletes.
St. John’s is a school that is affiliated with Adidas, but this is not the first time a college team will have a high-profile player that has signed an endorsement deal with a rival brand.
Cooper Flagg, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 Draft, was inked to become the face of New Balance while he was staring at Duke, one of its premier college teams. Both Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey, Top 5 picks in the 2025 Draft, were Nike athletes despite playing at Rutgers, which was sponsored by Nike at the time.
Flagg wore Nike apparel while on the court with the Blue Devils but wore New Balance gear off the court.
Yessoufou averaged 17.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists per game last season while shooting 46.5-percent from the field.
