After a strange, closer than we expected pretend game against San Francisco State, the St. John’s Red Storm do have a chance to better themselves before games that count begin.
This time, however, it will be against might Humboldt State. According to their website, Humboldt State is the northernmost California State University in, well, the state of California. Other than that, though, don’t expect me to be breaking down their two-guard’s ability to create his own shot. I mean, honestly, anyone who is telling you a bunch of information and isn’t paid to cover them — or someone who goes to school — there is lying.
St. John’s vs Humboldt State
11/4 at 7:30pm Eastern Standard Time (11:30 Caprica Time)
Will be shown on ESPN(dot)Go(dot)com (Link here)
Again, much like last time, I know I am posting this an entire day early, but we are friends (right?) and friends don’t keep friends in the dark about where they can watch St. John’s play basketball.
This will be the last game of Chris Obekpa’s suspension. It is also going to be a pivotal exhibition for the Red Storm to fix a slew of issues that were evident in their narrow victory over San Francisco State.
Here is to hoping that St. John’s still scores a bunch, but show an ability to play defense, rebound and basically not have to fight tooth and nail against a lower-level program in a pretend game.
