The Big East As If Teams Were Beers

Xavier Is Blue Moon
Mar 16, 2012; Greensboro, NC, USA; Xavier Musketeers guard Tu Holloway (52) and head coach Chris Mack react after the game. The Musketeers defeated the Irish 67-63 in the second round of the 2012 NCAA men
As a kid I can remember thinking how cool a basketball program Xavier was. Mostly because announcers would constantly refer to them as The X-Men instead of their real school nickname, Musketeers. Still, I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for this program for one reason or another.
Their current head coach is Chris Mack. This guy adds to Xavier’s coolness. He has some neat YouTube videos with his family, isn’t afraid to be self-deprecating and is actually a good coach. My only problem with him — and the program as a whole — is that I feel like if I pay attention to them too much, I might find myself not liking them. Like the overexposure of Xavier will make them dislikable and everything I currently like about them, I will result hating.
I also like to drink Blue Moon. However, I cannot drink it in mass quantities or do so very often. It’s more of a hey let me try one type of beers. If you were to drink it too often, like Xavier, it may lose its appeal.
