Niagara vs St. John’s: Game Preview, How to Watch, Live Stream

The St. John’s Red Storm might be coming off a loss to the Gonzaga Bulldogs, but more people were impressed with them in a loss than they are using it as proof as some form of disappointment. Even we — the usually glass-half empty STP — found more positives than negatives in the early goings of the season. Next up for the Red Storm is  a game against the Niagara Purple Eagles — whatever the heck a Purple Eagle is. Let’s find out how to watch the game.

What’s Up With This Game?

St. John’s should take care of the Purple Eagles pretty easily. Niagara is 1-3 on the season with their lone win being against the St. Peter’s

Peacocks. And, I mean, there is nothing like a little weird animal on weird animal violence, right? Bad jokes aside, the Purple Eagles shoot under .40 percent from the floor as a team, only score 56 points per and rebound at a rate (31.8) that makes one — probably safely — assume that they have no chance against the Johnnies.

Why Am I Watching?

Because you are a fan of the St. John’s Red Storm and/or are a fan of watching teams demoralize other teams. In reality, though, it will be interesting to see how the Johnnies react after hanging with, but still losing to, Gonzaga. Also worth watching to see the continued development of Red Storm players and what sorts of lineups and rotations Steve Lavin implements. Basically, will we see more of the small lineup they were forced to play at the end of the Zags game, will Sir’Dominic Pointer be put at the high-post more and what other corpses on the depth-less bench will see time for the Johnnies.

Prediction

There will be blood. Lots of Purple Eagles blood. I don’t know what color they bleed though.
