St. John’s basketball virtually meets with two coveted prospects
The St. John’s basketball coaching staff is highly pursing two Class of 2021 recruits after virtually meeting with them both over the last week.
A line is being drawn in the sand of who St. John’s truly wants on its 2021-22 basketball roster.
Mike Anderson and the rest of his coaching staff recently completed two virtual meetings with Class of 2021 prospects Jordan Riley and Franck Kepnang.
The first meeting was with Riley on Saturday, as first reported by the Twitter account ‘JohnniesNews‘, and the Brentwood, New York native has been a high priority for the Red Storm for quite a while.

However, as Riley continues to emerge as a star at Brentwood High School, more colleges are taking notice as his recruitment heats up.
The 6-foot-3 guard has most recently picked up an offer from Wake Forest and new head coach Steve Forbes while seeing offers from Kansas State, Pittsburgh, and Georgetown come in over the last couple of weeks.
Riley is also holding offers from Rutgers, Seton Hall, and Virginia Tech.
As for Franck Kepnang, St. John’s has much more stiff competition for then Cameroon native as the four-star prospect holds offers from Kansas, Maryland, Georgetown, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, UCLA, and many others.
Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog reported that Kepnang recently had a virtual meeting with St. John’s, Ohio State, and Pittsburgh while he will meet with Miami on Thursday.
