Braziller’s piece describes how much of an impact he had both on and off the court and how his presence is still felt to this day.
Sealy played for the Red Storm from 1988-1992 and had a stellar career in Queens, averaging 18.9 points per game across his four years finishing with 2,402 points second only to Chris Mullin in program history.
The Bronx native played in three NCAA tournaments, advancing as far as the Elite Eight in 1991 and was named as a two-time All-Big East First-Team selection and a two-time Haggerty Award winner.
Malik Sealy was drafted as the No. 14 overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers and played eight seasons for four teams before he tragically died in a car accident at the age of 30.
To mark the sad occasion, we try and bring some joy to those who watched him play and to those who have watched his highlights by remembering some of the most iconic games Malik Sealy played in a St. John’s uniform.
