Remembering Malik Sealy’s best games on the St. John’s basketball team

St. John’s vs Ohio State NCAA Tournament Sweet 16

Malik Sealy led the No. 4 seed St. John’s with 22 points, five rebounds, two assists, and a steal in a major upset of the No. 1 seed Ohio State Buckeyes.

The Johnnies ran the Buckeyes out of the Pontiac Silverdome, 91-74 and advances the to the Elite Eight, where the then Red Men ultimately lost to the Duke Blue Devils, 78-61.

In the Sweet 16, Sealy was 10-17 from the field and made both of his free throw attempts.

Finishing the season in the Elite Eight was the St. John’s best end to the season since advancing to the Final Four in 1985.
