The Connecticut Huskies recently offered prime St. John’s basketball target Jordan Riley as the two are set to become Big East foes.

Jordan Riley‘s stock keeps rising as the Class of 2021 guard continues to bring in offers from around the country.

The last two offers that Riley has picked up have some significance to Mike Anderson and the St. John’s Red Storm as budding local rival Iona and new head coach Rick Pitino offered the guard a scholarship at the beginning of June while head coach Dan Hurley and the Connecticut Huskies just extended a scholarship to the Brentwood High School (N.Y.) star.

Hurley and the Huskies are set to rejoin the Big East starting on July 1.

Riley also has offers from Big East competitors DePaul, Georgetown, and Seton Hall while Creighton has not offered the 6-foot-4 guard but has shown interest in the prospect.

Other programs that have offered Jordan Riley include Kansas State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest as Clemson, Miami, North Carolina, and Temple have also shown interest, but no offer has been made.

St. John’s has been targeting Riley since early in his recruitment process, officially extending an offer to the shooting guard back on January 14.

The Brentwood, New York native is ranked as a three-star recruit by Verbal Commits and Rivals but has not been given an individual class ranking by 247 Sports.

Riley also stars for the New York Lightning on the Nike EYBL Circuit.

St. John’s has yet to land a commitment from a member of the Class of 2021, but Red Storm fans should feel good about their chances to land Jordan Riley given the time, dedication, and effort the coaching staff has put into recruiting him.
