Listed at 6-foot-7, the three-star is originally from Bronxville, New York and holds offers from Manhattan, Ole Miss, Bryant, Iona, Howard, Brown, Providence, DePaul, Massachusetts, and Yale.
In addition to St. John’s, Okpara also recently had phone calls with Cincinnati over the weekend and a call with Michigan on Monday but has not picked up an offer from either program as of yet.
Since the recruiting period has opened for the Class of 2022 on June 15 Mike Anderson and his coaching staff have been very busy reaching out to prospect and trying to make connections with the rising junior class.
There are several prospects, like Chisom Okpara, that have connected with St. John’s but not received offers but offers could be coming soon to these recruits if the players that the Red Storm are focusing in on and making more of a priority do not commit to the Johnnies.
