Herd That was a team comprised of alumni from Marshall University and the underdogs were able to defeat No. 5 seed Peoria and No. 9 seed The Money Team.
The four-time Champions were led by Joe Johnson who poured in a game-high 35 points in the blowout victory as former St. John’s standout Justin Burrell only contributed two points.
Burrell did log just over 14 minutes and was also able to record four rebounds and a block.
Despite playing less minutes in the quarterfinals than the Round of 16, Burrell scored the same amount of points and grabbed two less rebounds on Saturday.
Once again Paris Horne did not play in the quarterfinals and only remained on the bench in his coaching and general manager role.

Prior to the tournament there were reports that Horne would be a player/coach as he continues to work his way back from an injury but it seems like the former Red Storm guard will remain on the bench throughout the potential final two games for Overseas Elite.
Horne’s absence is paired with the departure of DJ Kennedy from the roster this season over concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
There won’t be much time to rest for Overseas Elite as they will face the winner of No. 3 seed Boeheim’s Army and No. 22 seed Sideline Cancer on Sunday, July 12.
