The St. John’s basketball program has extend an offer to Class of 2022 four-star wing Devin Ree.
Mike Anderson and the St. John’s basketball coaching staff continue to work the recruiting trail a couple of days after the program got its first commitment in the Class of 2021, Anderson is back in pool for the rising junior class.
On Thursday afternoon the school extended an offer to one of the fastest risers and most underrated prospects in Devin Ree.

The offer was first reported by Top-100 Talent, an NCAA Complaint Scouting Service.
Ree, a 6-foot-8 small forward in the Class of 2022, is a Terry, Mississippi native who stars at Terry High School (MS) and is ranked as the No. 57 recruit in his class, No. 15 small forward, and No. 2 player in the state of Mississippi, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
The four-star recruit has amassed many offers already in his high school career but the schools paying the most attention to him come from the south, specifically SEC schools.
Devin Ree holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Jackson State, LSU, Memphis, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Saint Louis, South Carolina, Southern Mississippi, and Texas, among others.

With roots in the deep south, head coach Mike Anderson has tried to remain connected on the recruiting trail in his former region while also becoming acquainted with prospect in the New York area.
Over the past handful of weeks the program has also shown interest in Arkansas prospects Creed Williamson and Jabari West Jr.

St. John’s clearly does not have a commitment from a prospect in the Class of 2022 and while there has not been a lot of traction between the Red Storm and several of the players they offered in the class, the prime target in the class is Kyle Cuffe Jr., a Blair Academy (NJ) standout who’s father, Kyle Cuffe, starred in Queens from 2000-2004.
