The St. John’s basketball program has extended an offer to Class of 2021 Center Jonas Aidoo.
Despite landing a major commitment from Long Island Lutheran’s Rafael Pinzon on Monday, Mike Anderson and his staff are not wasting any time in getting back on the recruiting trail as they offered Class of 2021 Center Jonas Aidoo.
Aidoo made the announcement of the offer on his Twitter page on Wednesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-11, 215 pound center currently attends Liberty Heights Athletic Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Aidoo is ranked as a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 119 recruit nationally, No. 20 center, and the No. 4 player in the state of North Carolina, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
The Class of 2021 prospect currently holds offers from Clemson, Marquette, Providence, Miami, Alabama, Georgia, and Rutgers among others.
Aidoo recently transferred to Liberty Heights after he played at Voyager Academy in Durham, North Carolina where he averaged 11.3 points, six rebounds, and three blocks per game.
In watching game tape on the Charlotte native, the most notable aspect of his game is the ability to make perimeter shots, which makes him more versatile and a major reason as to why many high-major offers have come in for Jonas Aidoo.
The Red Storm currently has two commitments in the Class of 2021, both from Long Island Lutheran in Drissa Traore and the aforementioned Pinzon.

St. John’s only has one scholarship spot left for the 2021-22 season, barring any transfers or unexpected departures, and landing a big man has long been talked about as a priority for the Class of 2021.
The Johnnies have a few options in the 2021 recruiting class in order to fill their final scholarship spot with Franck Kepnang and Carlos Curry being the prime targets.
However, Jonas Aidoo can now be added to the list and landing one of these three big men would make the Class of 2021 an absolute slam dunk for Mike Anderson and his staff, which many had raised questions about just weeks ago.
