Former St. John’s golf star Keegan Bradley was unable to conquer Winged Foot Golf Club at the U.S. Open.
Mamaroneck, New York was a beautiful backdrop for this strange week of a September U.S Open but the conditions at Winged Foot Golf Club were as tough as any tournament that would have been played in the summer.
Former St. John’s golf star Keegan Bradley was not one of the golfers that was able to score on the historic course as he was cut after two rounds following a five-over in Round One and three-over in Round Two, for a total of eight over par for the championship.

Starting on the back nine on Thursday, Bradley got his U.S. Open off to a miserable start, bogeying three of his first four holes and finishing his first nine holes at four-over.
The second nine for Bradley wasn’t much better as he posted back-to-back bogeys but a birdie on his final hole of the day helped him limp into the clubhouse instead of crawling.
Things weren’t much different on Friday for the Red Storm Hall of Famer, bogeying two of his first four holes but then the PGA Tour veteran started to make a run with birdies on four of his next five holes to make the turn at one-under par for the round but the back nine hurt Bradley again, nothing more than his double-bogey on No. 18.
Bryson DeChambeau won the 120th U.S. Open at six-under par and the victory was by six strokes over Matthew Wolf.
