Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks continue to offer St. John’s basketball recruiting targets.

Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks have their eyes on a handful of East Coast prospects, specifically ones that Mike Anderson and the St. John’s Red Storm have already offered.

The latest offer Self dished out was to Roselle Catholic standout sophomore guard and Class of 2023 rising star Simeon Wilcher.

More from Storm The Paint

Kansas just becomes one of the many schools to offer the 6-foot-4 guard as in the last week he has also picked up offers from Connecticut and Miami (FL).

While Wilcher was the first prospect Dan Hurley and the Huskies have offered in the Class of 2023, Bill Self and the Jayhawks have offered four other players.

In a recent interview with 247 Sports, Simeon Wilcher listed three blue blood program that he is hoping to hear from at some point in his recruitment, specifically listing Duke, North Carolina, and Kentucky as programs he hopes become involved in his recruitment.

Nonetheless, he lands his first offer from the one blue blood that he did not mention in the interview, but I do not think either party involved will hold any grudges.

Wilcher also holds offers from St. John’s, Xavier, Auburn, UCLA, Iowa, Oregon, Illinois, Wake Forest, and Georgia Tech.

Anderson and the Red Storm were the first program to offer the New Jersey native back on September 15, 2019.

In that very interview with 247 Sports, Wilcher said that the Johnnies were one of four programs that were prioritizing him but he is going to take his time with his recruitment as he is only entering his sophomore season.

In the last three months, Kansas has offered St. John’s targets such as Jordan Riley, who ultimately spurned the Red Storm and committed to Georgetown, and Class of 2022 key target Kyle Cuffe Jr.

Will Bill Self be able to come east and recruit with success?

Well, you certainly cannot take his resume and ability to land high profile prospects lightly as St. John’s will have its work cut out for itself in trying to land both Cuffe Jr. and Wilcher.
