St. John’s basketball program extends another offer to New Jersey recruit
The St. John’s basketball program extended another offer to a Class of 2023 prospect.
Head coach Mike Anderson and the St. John’s basketball program continue their work within the St. Benedict’s Prep (N.J.) program.
Most recently, the Red Storm have extended an offer to Class of 2023 shooting guard Aaron Clark.
Clark, a sophomore with the Gray Bees, stands at 6-foot-6, 182 pounds and originally hails from Easton, Pennsylvania.
The guard also has picked up offers from Cleveland State, St. Peter’s University, Stony Brook, Massachusetts, Bryant, and Seton Hall.
St. John’s and Seton Hall, the two Big East rivals, continue to battle for local prospects as head coach Kevin Willard and the Pirates offered their in-state target on October 29.

Since Mike Anderson has become the new head coach at St. John’s, the Red Storm have been persistent with recruiting New Jersey players to Queens, but have had little luck.
Because of its lack of success with recruits from The Garden State, Anderson and his staff are trying a new tactic with extending all their offers to players in the program within weeks of each other.
St. John’s has offered Class of 2024 prospect Jaiden Glover and Class of 2023 recruit Ty-Laur Johnson, both who play at St. Benedict’s Prep.

Will the Red Storm be able to land any of these tough, rugged New Jersey guards?
Time will only tell, but clearly Mike Anderson knows what type of player he wants in Queens to join the Johnnies.
