St. John’s basketball sees new dates for postponed Big East matchups
St. John’s basketball received new dates for its postponed games this season.
The Big East Conference made more adjustments to the St. John’s basketball schedule as the Red Storm have new dates for its previously postponed games.
Due to COVID-19 issues within its opponents program, the Johnnies had games on the road against Connecticut and Butler postponed while its matchup with Villanova was also pushed back to give more time for players to celebrate the holidays at home.
Days after the conference announced the second portion of its league schedule, it now has released new dates for the Red Storm and its three games that have been altered.

St. John’s will make the trip to Storrs on January 18 to face the UConn Huskies, while visiting historic Hinkle Fieldhouse on February 10 to face the Butler Bulldogs.
The final rescheduled game for the Red Storm will take place on February 23 as the Johnnies will board the bus to the Finneran Pavilion to face the No. 9 Villanova Wildcats.
Facing the Huskies on January 18 will start a two game road trip for St. John’s and Mike Anderson‘s team will face UConn twice within the span of three games with a trip to Chicago to face the DePaul Blue Demons sandwiched in between the two Big East rivals’ contests.
St. John’s basketball has a chance to get back on track
Following a 0-3 start to Big East play for St. John’s, the Johnnies were able to avenge its worst loss of the season against Georgetown to move to 1-3 in the conference.
The Red Storm caught a break with its postponed matchup against Villanova as now the Johnnies will host DePaul, who just played its first game of the season on Wednesday night, on January 2.

A win over the Blue Demons would push the Red Storm to 2-3 in Big East play with a two-game road trip against Xavier and Creighton looming for St. John’s.
It will take a lot of grit and determination but Mike Anderson’s team has a chance to get its season back on track in the new calendar year.
