St. John’s basketball lands in Jaiden Glover’s Top-8 finalists

The St. John’s basketball program was included in the Top-8 finalists of Jaiden Glover. 

Another highly coveted prospect in the Class of 2024 has included the St. John’s basketball program in its group of finalists as Jaiden Glover has trimmed in his list to eight schools.

Joining the Red Storm in the chase for The Patrick School (NJ) standout are Seton Hall, Creighton Illinois, Villanova, Providence, Ohio State, and St. Joseph’s.

Glover spent time at the beginning of his high school career at Roselle Catholic (NJ), the same school that produced freshman Simeon Wilcher, before transferring to the alma mater of NBA superstar Kyrie Irving.

“These schools made my final list because I feel like they can all get me to the next level,” Glover told 247Sports.

He is currently listed as a 4-star prospect and the No. 61 prospect in the Class of 2024, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, while being the No. 16 small forward in the class and No. 4 player in the state of New Jersey.

St. John’s basketball looking to add to recruiting class

Jaiden Glover has been a major prospect for St. John’s for nearly two years now, dating back to Mike Anderson’s tenure as the program’s head coach and that pursuit has remained consistent under Rick Pitino.

“They’ve been recruiting me for the longest and stayed on top of it even with the coaching change,” Glover said.

The 6-foot-6 athletic wing has already visited St. John’s but plans to do so again in early September.

Visits to Seton Hall, Ohio State, Illinois, and Creighton are also looming for Glover as he has already taken an unofficial visit to Villanova.

Lefteris Liotopoulos, a Greek international prospect, is the only recruit the Red Storm have in its 2024 recruiting class at the moment.

A decision date is not yet known for Jaiden Glover but he is expected to announce his college destination in the next few months after he has completed all of his visits.
