Arthur Kaluma drops St. John’s basketball program from Top-8 finalists
The St. John’s basketball program has not been included in the Top-8 finalists for Class of 2021 four-star prospect Arthur Kaluma.
Recruiting is a game where you are going to get rejected more than you get accepted and the St. John’s basketball program was on the bad side of the recruiting game on Wednesday afternoon.
Four-star prospect Arthur Kaluma did not include the Red Storm in his Top-8 finalists as the Dream City Christian star will pick from Syracuse, Oklahoma, UNLV, Arizona State, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Southern California, and Kansas.

Kaluma, a member of the Class of 2021, is ranked as the No. 36 prospect in the rising senior class, No. 8 power forward, and No. 2 player in the state of Arizona, according to the 247 Sports Composite Ranking.
Mike Anderson has received a mixed bag on the recruiting trail over the last handful of days after not being included in the Top-2 for JUCO prospect Dashawn Davis but making the Top-9 finalists for Alex Tchikou.
Tchikou and Kaluma are teammates at Dream City Christian School but Tchikou made the decision to reclassify from the Class of 2021 to the Class of 2020 earlier in the week.
St. John’s offered Arthur Kaluma back in September 2019 and most recently held a virtual visit with the 6-foot-8 power forward on June 15.

The Red Storm do not have a commitment from a player in the Class of 2021 but the Red Storm seem to be focusing more on New York City and tri-state area based prospects rather that recruits across the country.
